The other day, someone asked me to name my favorite book other than the Bible. That’s impossible for me because I have seven books that meet that standard: the ones that make up C.S. Lewis’ children’s series, The Chronicles of Narnia.
I just read the series to my little girls, and in doing so, I fell in love with the fairy tales all over again. The books strengthen the childlike faith I need to see the heavenly kingdom that’s oftentimes hiding in plain view.
After I finished reading the final book in the series to the girls, I was inspired to offer an alternate ending, which is published this week at Christianity Today. If you are a Narnia lover or even if you’ve never read any of the books, I hope this article will spark new hope for our future in heaven and God’s work here on earth.
As C.S. Lewis once said, “A children’s story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children’s story in the slightest.” Enjoy my twist on his beloved children’s story, which you can find by clicking here.
